Ambassador of Czech Republic to Ethiopia visits HU with leaders of MU

H.E. Miroslav Kosek, Ambassador of Czech Republic to Ethiopia, accompanied with Prof. Dr. Martin Bareš, President of Masaryk University and Dr. Petr Suchý, Vice-President for Internationalization at MU, visited Hawassa University on February 20, 2025 to explore potentials for collaboration.
Dr. Chirotaw Ayele, President of HU, has warmly welcomed the guests where he pointed out that it is a critical time for HU to gain as much experience as possible from prestigious autonomous universities such as the Masaryk University in Czech Republic to realize its efforts in transitioning to autonomous research university.
H.E. Mr. Kosek also mentioned the longstanding collaboration between his country and Ethiopia in different fields, especially emphasizing the strong ties with Sidama Region and HU, and expressed commitment to strengthen them and create more collaborations.
