I am delighted to announce a significant milestone in our commitment to enhancing student skills and employability. Hawassa University has established Career Development Center five-year back, a platform dedicated to bridging the gap between education and employment. This center aims to equip our students with essential skills that are highly sought after in today’s job market. Through various programs, including workshops, training sessions, and career development initiatives, the center have been empowering our students to excel in their chosen fields.
Key benefits of this center include skill development trainings tailored to industry needs, networking and employment opportunities through career expos, and comprehensive career counseling and guidance. I believe that this center has not only enriched the academic experience at Hawassa University but has also significantly improved the employability of our graduates. Over the past five years, the center has successfully implemented a variety of career-related activities in partnership with various developmental organizations, directly benefiting significant number of students. This has resulted in job offers and positively impacted students’ career development.
