Overview

The Resource Development and Revenue Generation Executive is responsible for planning, initiating, coordinating, and monitoring all resource mobilization and revenue-generating activities of Hawassa University. The office focuses on diversifying income sources, managing income-generating enterprises, fostering partnerships, enhancing resource utilization, and ensuring financial sustainability in line with national higher education frameworks.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Resource Mobilization and Revenue Generation Strategy for the university.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, international donors, private sector organizations, alumni, and foundations.
• Lead proposal development processes for grants, research funding, infrastructure support, and capacity-building programs.
• Oversee income-generating enterprises, consultancies, short courses, technology transfer initiatives, and other commercial ventures of the university.
• Establish systems to monitor, evaluate, and report on resource mobilization and revenue-generation performance.
• Coordinate fundraising campaigns, sponsorships, endowment programs, and institutional philanthropy.
• Collaborate with colleges, institutes, and administrative units to identify marketable programs, products, and services.
• Strengthen Hawassa University’s brand visibility, outreach, and partnership engagement at national and international levels.
• Provide strategic advice to senior management on new income opportunities, policy frameworks, and investment options.
• Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, financial regulations, and institutional policies in all resource mobilization processes.
